Everything began in 2015 when Max and Filippo met for the first time during a music contest. Max was in the jury and Filippo was one of the competitors. After a while they began a collaboration with Matteo that was working at the time with Max in different musical situations.
Both Matteo and Max played with national and international artists but they were looking for a voice and a project to invest most of their energy and creativity.
They first worked an a proper repertoire that could fit the taste and their musical abilities and then they thought about the show.
Since then they began an intense schedule of concerts both in Italy and in Europe (mostly Swiss and Germany).
They released 2 albums, one with electric instruments and one in acoustic.
With the begining of 2017 they start to write their own original tunes in Italian and they are looking to release an album at the end of the year.

The warm and gritty voice of Filippo Guidoboni (really young winner in 2010 of “festival of fine arts of Bologna” as best band and best performer) drives this brand new trio through a musical path that lays his foundations on Blues, Funk and new Country/Folk.
The repertoire reaches the main artists of this kind of music, both historic and contemporary. It gets performed with edge and personality creating an exciting performance.
James Brown, Otis Redding, The Black Keys, Paolo Nutini, Lenny Kravitz, George Ezra are only few of the artists from which DriveWheel draw on for their repertoire.
Matteo Vallicella on bass and Max Pizzano on drums are a solid rhythm section with experiences in the north of Italy and outside the country, they complete and contribute to a personal yet coherent sound.
