I sound progress nascono come cover band e come progetto musicale nell’autunno del 2008 da una passione in comune per la musica tra Omar Mercurio, voce e chitarra solista, e Giancarlo Mirarchi, detto Ginca, chitarrista acustico e ritmico del gruppo.
Dopo varie vicissitudini il gruppo si stabilizza in 5 componenti e decide di fare brani dei Coldplay, Radio Head, REM e altri.
